Water Sampling in Simpang Renggam

Description:
Some of the postgraduate students from Universiti Tun Hussien Onn Malaysia (UTHM) had dropped to Sungai Pinggan, Kampung Bukit Nyamuk, Simpang Renggam for follow-up on problem-solving towards the river pollution. The students and the Simpang Renggam team took some water sample that needs to be tested in the laboratory. The results of the testing will be presented to the Water Regulatory Agency (BAKAJ) and the Johor Department of Environment (DOE). Throughout the inspection, the students have met some important people, where they discussed the causes and solutions of the pollution to ensure that these pollution problems are addressed. Another purpose of this inspection is to make students realize how important “university for the community”, where the university should be the place to solve the community problems.
