This program is a collaboration program between Micropollutant Research Centre with Rainhill Services Sdn. Bhd. Rainhill Water Services Sdn. Bhd is considered as an infant or a new company because it was born in the year 2005. The talk was started with an introduction to what Rainhill Water Services is, what they do an overview of a typical water supply system in Malaysia. According to Khairul Effendy Tusam, the water system might be different for each country and the focus of the talk was only on a typical water supply system in Malaysia.

They have also done a water partnership water program called a twinning program whereby the program is funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). In this program, they will choose a mentor water operator. Their venture also includes some overseas contracts.  From the previous activity they have done (PenaW), it has saved up to 500 million liters per day (500 ml). 1 million liters is equal to 1,000 m3 which means 500 million liters will be equal to 500,000 m3 per day. In Malaysia, our regular consumption of each household is 1m3 per day. So basically 500,000 m3 is enough to supply 500,000 houses. It was a good and resourceful talk since it has highlighted a very important component of the water supply system.
