Description:
The University-Level Academy Day Celebration organized by UTHM’s PERKASA (Lecturer and Lecturer Association) held for 2 days from October 23-24, 2019. The second-day celebration was followed by symbolic planting of trees and town hall sessions. The tree has become a remarkable symbolic for this program. Indirectly, it can increase the number of trees in UTHM. This will make the campus into a green and sustainable campus. Moreover, it makes create to a passionate UTHM community and loves the environment. In addition to providing exposure to UTHM community on the importance of sustainability on campus. The program was attended by YBhg. Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellors, Senior University Officers, Perkasa members, and academic staff. After the planting session, a town hall session was held aimed at sharing ideas and opinions among academic’s staff with sustainable university management.
The Malaysian Academy Day which falls on October 5th is held for the first time at UTHM in honor of the contribution and celebration of the service and sacrifice of the academic staff.
